PharmOS is built by Smart Desizns — a small team building cloud-first vertical software for industries underserved by modern technology. We are not a generic ERP that added a pharmacy module. This is what happens when you build the tool from scratch, for one industry, with one obsession.

Our mission

Modernise every Indian pharmacy.

Indian pharmacies are the front line of healthcare delivery. There are over 850,000 of them across the country, ranging from single-counter neighbourhood chemists to nationwide chains running hundreds of branches. Together, they serve more than a billion people.

Yet most of these pharmacies run on software designed for an era before smartphones, before cloud, before WhatsApp. The result: pharmacy owners spend evenings reconciling Excel sheets, missing drug-licence renewals, losing margin to expiry, and unable to see what is happening across their counters without physically walking in.

PharmOS exists to change that. We believe every Indian pharmacy — whether a single-owner shop in a tier-3 town or a 100-store chain in a metro — deserves software that respects their time, their staff's learning curve, and their customers' trust.

Why pharmacy

A vertical that nobody else respects enough.

Critical impact. A drug-licence lapse can shut a pharmacy. An expired batch can harm a patient. The software here directly affects health outcomes — that responsibility is meaningful.

Software gap. Pharmacy has had software for decades, but almost none has been modernised. Cloud-first, mobile-native, offline-capable — these are not properties of the current market leaders.

Domain depth rewards investment. Pharmacy is full of edge cases: Schedule H prescriptions, batch-wise FEFO, GST on near-expiry returns, drug-licence renewal calendars, MR/Van field operations.
